George W. Fletcher is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a BS in Civil Engineering and Business Administration and Clemson University with a MS in Environmental Systems Engineering. Councilmember Fletcher is retired as a Professional Engineer where he founded the Fletcher Group, Inc. in 1993 serving as President until 2006 and started Piedmont Industrial Waste Service in 1997. Councilmember Fletcher served as the Executive Director of SC Council on Competitiveness from 2006 through 2013.
Councilmember Fletcher is married to Dr. Sarah Fletcher, and they have two children and four grandchildren.
