BB&T Fall for Greenville today announced that it has awarded more than $53,000 to seven local nonprofit organizations through its Fall for Giving program. The program was created to support the efforts of nonprofit organizations whose programs directly impact the areas of culinary and food, cultural diversity, family and music.
“As part of its mission, BB&T Fall for Greenville is committed to supporting the local community,” said Justin Pinckney, 2018 Fall for Greenville Board Chair. “The continued success of the festival allows us to give back even more, providing funds to local groups that work hard to strengthen our community.”Fall for Giving award recipients include:
In addition to the Fall for Giving grant, nonprofit organizations can apply to receive a portion of the 2018 festival proceeds by providing volunteer support over the three-day event. Each year, BB&T Fall for Greenville relies on over 1,800 volunteers to fill key positions throughout the festival site. Applications are available online and the deadline to apply is May 29 at 5 p.m. Interested applicants must be a registered local 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization.
