Accommodations Tax Grant Program Instructions

Please submit one original and eight copies, 3-hole punched, of the
application form to the Office of Management and Budget, 7th floor of City Hall
(or P.O. Box 2207, Greenville, SC 29602).
A. Applicant Information
Project Name – Give the project a concise name that clearly describes the scope
of work (e.g., Visitors Information Center).
B. Project Description
Please select the appropriate project category. Project categories are defined
as follows:
- Tourism Events and Tourism Promotion: applications to fund expenditures related
to tourism activities (e.g. Touring Greenville); tourism promotion (e.g.,
advertising, media brochures, etc.); and repairs, maintenance, or construction
of public facilities which serve tourists.
- Arts and Cultural Activities: applications to fund expenditures related to arts
and cultural activities and the promotion of arts and cultural activities (e.g.,
brochures, media time, etc.)
C. Project Goals and Objectives
Describe the problem or opportunity, what is intended to be accomplished, and
who will be responsible. Include any available drawings, graphs, photographs, or
other information to assist the committee in evaluating the worth of the
project.
D. Project Justification
Answer appropriate questions.
E. Project Budget
State the amount of the funds requested and provide a detailed budget of
projected revenues and expenditures by type for the previous year actual amounts
for the project.
Include the corporation’s most recent financial statements and the
organization’s total budget for this funding period.
Please note:
- Cells under the "Prior Year Actual" and "FY 20____ Budget" columns should
contain numbers or decimals only. Please do not type dollar signs or commas in
these columns. For example, if you wish to enter $1,200.50 in a column, please
type "1200.50".
- The Total Revenues, Total Expenditures, and Surplus/Deficit rows will calculate
automatically. Make sure you <TAB> out of each cell so those rows can be
updated.
F. Supplementary Information
Provide any additional information that will assist the committee in evaluating
your application. Supplementary information, other than required financial and
budget documents, must be limited to no more than two pages.
G. Statement of Assurances
All applicants must agree to sign the Statement of Assurances to be considered
for funding. Please review these conditions carefully.
