Butterfly Adventure

Thursday, June 1, 2017

The butterflies are on their way to Greenville! Hundreds of them, to be precise. On June 1, 2017, Roper Mountain Science Center will open its gates for the second annual Butterfly Adventure, one of the most unique experiences in the Upstate. This five-week special exhibit launches at 9am on Thursday, June 1 and wraps up on Friday, July 7. Located on campus inside the Fred W. Symmes Tropical Rainforest, Butterfly Adventure will provide guests the opportunity to interact with hundreds of native butterflies as they flutter, dip, and soar in our natural butterfly habitat. Attendees will be able to enjoy educational displays showcasing the lifespan of a butterfly, view 3D printing of butterfly models, and learn other interesting tidbits about these majestic insects.
