Dale Rogers is a full-time metal sculptor from Massachusetts. His work includes both large-scale sculptures for individual installation as well as temporary public exhibits comprised of multiple pieces. In 2021, he was featured as an artist at Artisphere, where he was awarded First Place in the 3-dimensional art category.
The Big Dog Show is an engaging exhibit designed to bring people together to experience art in public spaces. Drawing on the emotional connection that people feel to man's best friend, The Big Dog Show provided visitors the opportunity to see the world as a dog would. The installation features twenty 8ft tall x 10ft long corten steel sculptures, including multiple variations of the original design.
A portion of the proceeds from the exhibit partnerships will benefit Greenville County Animal Care and the City of Greenville Arts in Public Places program. For more information about sponsoring The Big Dog Show, click here.
BEST IN SHOW ARTISTIC COLLAR CONTEST
The Best in Show Artistic Collar Contest is an exciting opportunity for sponsors to exercise their own creative talents, while engaging the public in public art and creating awareness of Greenville County Animal Care – the local non-profit beneficiary of The Big Dog Show. Sponsors will have an opportunity to design and fabricate artistic dog collars for display June 11-19, 2022. Designs should be creative, original and reflect a theme that coordinates with the name of the dog, which will also be chosen by individual sponsors. Be creative, and just maybe, your pick of the litter will be awarded “Best in Show!” For information on how your company can get involved, email Anna Catherine Miller at email@example.com.
