Submitting An Event to the Community Calendar


All submissions will be reviewed before posting to the city's Community Calendar. The city has the discretion to determine which public events will be included in the calendar. The events should provide entertainment, food or other attractions to a diverse population, and promote the economic benefits of tourism or enhance the quality of life of the community. All events must be open to the general public (for free or cost), located within the City of Greenville and organized for non-profit purposes.

Public Meeting: Greenlink Seeks Input on Discounted Fares for Veterans

Greenlink customers are invited to join staff at the Greenlink Transit Center (100 W. McBee Avenue) to learn more about potential fare decreases for Veterans. While Greenlink currently offers discounted fares for senior citizens, Medicare recipients, and individuals with a disability, Greenlink has received requests to add Veterans to the discounted fare category. As a result, Greenlink is evaluating this fare change. To hear customer feedback on the various options, Greenlink staff will be set up in the Transit Center. In the meantime, Greenlink customers can call 864-298-2756 or email nmcaden@greenvillesc.gov to share their input by Friday, October 7. Learn more about Greenlink’s existing fares and passes.
