Chief Kenneth C. Miller invites you to the annual presentation of scholarships from the Harold C. Jennings Foundation, which has been scheduled for Thursday, August 3, 2017, at 8:30 a.m. at the Marriott on the Parkway.
The Harold C. Jennings Foundation was formed to give financial aid to deserving children, both academically and financially, of police officers including those whose parent is retired, disabled, or killed in the line of duty. From its formation in 1977, the HCJ Foundation has granted 447 scholarships over the last 40 years totaling $784,390 including this year’s recipients. Your attendance and coverage of this event will be greatly appreciated.
The recipients for the 2017-2018 scholarship awards are as follows:
Danielle Blair
Daughter of Lieutenant Chi Blair, Danielle will be a freshman at the University of South Carolina majoring in International Business and Political Science.
Monica Colwell
Daughter of Corporal Rob Colwell, Monica is a previous scholarship winner who will be a senior at North Greenville University majoring in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies.
Audrianna Cureton
Daughter of Sergeant Eric Cureton, Audrianna is a previous scholarship winner who will be a sophomore at Greenville Technical College majoring in Nursing.
