[ARCHIVED] 9/25/2017 - Section of Falls Street to be Closed Temporarily

Beginning Wednesday, September 27, the section of Falls Street between Japanese Dogwood Lane and East Broad Street will be closed for approximately two months. Access to local businesses within this area will be maintained at all times via Japanese Dogwood Lane, Calvin Street, Webster Street, Vivian Street and East Broad Street. Additionally, the section will be reopened October 12-15 for BB&T Fall for Greenville.

The City is assisting Centennial American Properties and its contractor, Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC, with the coordination of utility improvements for the Camperdown development at the corner of South Main Street and East Broad Street. The utility work will involve upgrades to the water line, storm drain system and sanitary sewer system in Falls Street and the temporary closure will allow the contractor to complete its work as safely and expeditiously as possible.

The attached map includes the section of Falls Street being closed and the proposed detour route. For more information about the improvements, project schedule or traffic control plan, contact Kimberly Bailey, project manager for Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC, at 678.581.6433 or kbailey@brasfieldgorrie.com.
