[ARCHIVED] AT&T Unity Park Contributions Total $500,000

ATT Check for $500,000 to Unity Park

AT&T has contributed $500,000 toward the development of Unity Park over the last three years, making it one of the project's largest financial supporters.

The company celebrated the milestone by presenting a check to City Council on Monday, September 27.

“We are grateful for AT&T’s participation in Unity Park and value its engagement on this transformative project,” said Mayor Knox White.

The 60-acre park in Greenville's west side will include playgrounds, pedestrian bridges, walking trails and visitor center, as well as an effort to protect and enhance the Reedy River and restore the historic Mayberry Park.

“At AT&T, we’re all about making connections between people and information, but especially between people,” said Amanda Taylor, the regional director of AT&T South Carolina. “That’s also the vision for Unity Park. So, in that spirit of connecting people and bringing communities together, we are excited to join with the City in supporting the Unity Park project.”

AT&T joins Robert and Jennifer Donovan, the Spinks Family Foundation, Michelin Corporate Foundation, Duke Energy Foundation, Greenville Water, Auro Hotels, Craig and Vicki Brown, SYNNEX Corporation, Fluor Corporation, the Community Foundation of Greenville and Greenville Women Giving that have publicly announced their partnerships in Unity Park. More than $11 million in private money has been raised for construction of the first phase of the park, scheduled to open in spring 2022.
