The Sensory Station at Legacy Park, made possible through a generous gift from Coldwell Banker Caine, is a multifaceted installation offering a hands-on play experience. It consists of a metallophone, bongo, marble and optigear panels with additional landscaping.
Opened in 2008, Legacy Park is a 20-acre park inspired by New York City’s Central Park, capturing the essence of a pastoral park within a busy city. The nonprofit group Legacy Park Friends has been instrumental in raising over $81,000 to place new benches, gardens, equipment, shades and now a sensory area for park users.
The Sensory Station was officially opened and dedicated on May 25.
