Mayor Knox White has proclaimed October 2016 as “Try Transit Month” in the city of Greenville and Greenlink has a full schedule of events to help you celebrate! Events include children’s story time with Greenlink bus drivers, a presentation by a nationally known expert on transit advocacy and training, transit trivia night, and Fare Free Friday sponsored by MetroPCS. The goal of Try Transit Month is to educate Greenville County residents about the economic and environmental benefits of public transit and encourage citizens who don't typically use public transportation to ride Greenlink.
